    Joe Uitvlugt, the owner of West Coast Shutters, brings over a decade of experience in the blinds and window coverings industry. Recently taking ownership of the business, Joe is committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional service to every customer. Hardworking and dedicated, he takes a detail-oriented, reliable approach to his work, ensuring that every installation meets the highest standards.

    As someone who values loyalty, integrity, and preparedness, Joe goes above and beyond to make sure his clients feel supported and confident in their choices. Whether helping homeowners find the perfect fit or guiding them through the process with expert advice, Joe is always ready to deliver tailored solutions.

    Cheryl Major

    ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

    Cheryl works the front desk and has been with the company since 2022. Cheryl is the first person you will meet when you start the journey with our company. Cheryl will help find you the best solution to meet your needs whether it is a new set of blinds, or repairs on existing blinds. Cheryl sets up the appointments for home consultation, repair service, or installation. In her spare time Cheryl enjoys a good games night with friends.

    Lisa has been a valued member of the West Coast Shutters team as a Design Consultant for just over a year, bringing her specialization in both drapery and shutters to our clients. She is recognized for her keen eye and extensive interior design expertise, which allows her to create cohesive and beautiful spaces, seamlessly coordinating closet designs and window coverings. Lisa contributes significantly to the team by sharing her wealth of experience accumulated over many years in the industry, and she serves as an invaluable resource for her colleagues.

    Outside of her professional life, Lisa enjoys the creative outlet of oil painting. Additionally, she has a passion for rescuing and revitalizing older, outdated furniture, which she then lovingly restores and offers for sale.

    Holly has been part of the team since 2021 helping clients bring their visions to life through stylish, functional solutions. Known for her warm communication style and passion for design, she thrives on building strong relationships and solving challenges with creativity and care. A proud collaborator on the transformation of the Snuneymuxw First Nation Council Chambers alongside Black Caviar Decor, she brings both professionalism and heart to every project.

    Originally from Ontario and now a dedicated islander, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her husband and dog, eating breakfast for dinner, and losing herself in a good book. For her, nothing beats the thrill of turning a blank canvas into something beautiful.

We are a local window fashions dealer who specializes in the full selection of Hunter Douglas window treatments, including horizontal blinds, vertical blinds, roman shades, roller shades, honeycomb cellular shades, sheer shadings, woven wood shades, shutters, and motorized blinds and shades. We also offer custom window Coverings, custom drapery, custom closets, murphy beds, wallpaper, and blind repair.
